Under the category of state honored nut-jobs, I give you “Hey, that’s my chief, Willy!“.

“The [Canadian] department of fisheries tried [removing a killer whale from Brithish Columbia's Gold River] earlier this summer. They hoped to reunite Luna with its family.

But the local First Nation blocked those attempts. The band says the whale is the embodiment of its dead chief and that they want to take responsibility for Luna.”

OS Lock-in?

Here you can find Sun’s COO (Jonathan Schwartz) arguing, in small part, that Red Hat’s inclusion of a Java application server creates OS lock-in for IBM customers. This makes me smile.

Regarding IBM’s Novel/Suse alternative, Jonathan asks, “… but where else does IBM go?”. Um, here?
